Author Guidelines

To ensure consistency, clarity, and efficient peer review, authors are requested to prepare their manuscripts using the official CAS Journal article template. ⬇️Download the Article Template (Microsoft Word)

Authors are invited to submit original and high-quality manuscripts to Computational and Applied Science (CAS Journal). All submissions are initially assessed by the editorial team to determine whether they align with the aims and scope of the journal. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s standards and relevance criteria are sent for peer review. Final publication decisions are based on reviewers’ evaluations and editorial judgment.

Prior to submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any third-party material included in the manuscript, such as figures, tables, images, documents, or datasets. All individuals listed as authors must have made a significant scholarly contribution to the work and must consent to authorship. Where applicable, research involving human participants or animals must have received approval from an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal and ethical requirements of the country in which the research was conducted.

The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned editor may issue a desk rejection if a submission does not meet the journal’s minimum standards of scientific quality, originality, clarity, or academic rigor. Authors are therefore advised to ensure that the research design, methodology, and argumentation are clearly structured and well articulated prior to submission. The title should be concise and informative, and the abstract should be self-contained, clearly presenting the objectives, methods, and principal findings of the study.

Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts should be submitted in an editable format. CAS Journal accepts submissions in Microsoft Word format. At the initial submission stage, there are no strict formatting requirements; however, manuscripts should follow a clear academic structure and use a consistent citation and referencing style (e.g., APA, or another recognized scholarly standard). Final formatting instructions may be provided to authors after acceptance.

For detailed information on manuscript structure and formatting requirements, please refer to the page Structure and Format of the Article.

Plagiarism and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy

All submissions are subject to plagiarism screening using appropriate similarity-detection tools. Manuscripts containing plagiarized material, including self-plagiarism, will be rejected.

Authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for limited and responsible purposes such as language editing, stylistic improvement, formatting assistance, or other non-substantive tasks. Any use of AI tools must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript, including the name of the tool, its version (if applicable), and the purpose of its use.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and scholarly integrity of the submitted work, regardless of whether AI tools were used. AI tools must not be listed as authors, and their use must not replace genuine human intellectual contribution to the research, analysis, or interpretation of results. Submissions that involve inappropriate, undisclosed, or unethical use of AI may be rejected during review or retracted after publication.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are expected to carefully follow all instructions provided during the submission process and to ensure that all required metadata are complete and accurate.
