Editorial Policies

Computational and Applied Science Journal (CAS Journal) follows transparent, fair, and rigorous editorial policies to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of the scholarly content it publishes. The journal is committed to maintaining high academic standards throughout all stages of the submission, review, and publication process.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. Each manuscript is initially assessed by the editorial team to determine its relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, and basic methodological soundness. Submissions that pass this preliminary evaluation are sent to at least two independent reviewers with appropriate expertise. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions: acceptance, revision (minor or major), or rejection. The journal strives to ensure a timely review process; however, review timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability.

Editorial Decision-Making

Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of the manuscript, including originality, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field. Decisions are made independently of the authors’ institutional affiliation, nationality, gender, or personal characteristics. The Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board retain full responsibility for final publication decisions.

Handling of Submissions

The journal ensures a fair, confidential, and timely handling of all submissions. Editors and reviewers are required to treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not disclose information related to a submission or use unpublished material for personal research purposes.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors and reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their evaluation of a manuscript. In such cases, alternative editors or reviewers will be assigned to ensure objectivity and impartiality in the review process.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions or submit complaints regarding the editorial process. Appeals are reviewed carefully by the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate member of the editorial board. All complaints are handled in a transparent, respectful, and unbiased manner. Authors may submit appeals by contacting the journal’s editorial office.

Corrections and Retractions

CAS Journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record. When errors, inaccuracies, or issues affecting the reliability of published content are identified, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, as appropriate, following established academic publishing practices.

Ethical Oversight

Ethical principles related to research integrity, authorship, plagiarism, and misconduct are addressed in detail in the journal’s Ethics Statement, which all authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow.
